Overview

Media Libraries are collections of media items that users can access within the mobile app. Use them to share content like safety videos, training materials, or other resources.

Within the mobile app, Media Libraries can be accessed from the Menu. Individual media items can also be attached to loads.

Media Libraries are created and managed within App Manager, or via API. For API-specific guidance, refer to Media Items.

Creating a Media Library

  1. Within App Manager, navigate to App Content > Media Libraries

  2. Select Create a new library

  3. App Manager auto-generates a library Title and Code - replace the auto-generated text with a custom Title and Code, then select Save

    • The title is visible to drivers within the mobile app

    • The code is referenced to add a library to a mobile app menu and is not visible to drivers within the mobile app

  4. Add an optional description - select Add a description, enter the description, then select Save

    • The description will be visible to drivers in the app

    • The description can be removed or edited by selecting Edit this description

Uploading a Media Item

  1. Within the relevant library, select Upload a new video, image, or PDF

  2. Locate and select the relevant media item for upload

    • Supported formats include: JPEG, PNG, GIF, MP4, MOV, and PDF

  3. Add an optional title by selecting Add a title - input your title, then select Save

    • The title will be visible to drivers in the app

    • The title can be removed or edited by selecting the pencil icon

  4. App Manager auto-generates a thumbnail image - the thumbnail image is displayed in the list of library items the driver views in the mobile app

    • Modify the thumbnail by selecting Upload new thumbnail - locate and select the desired thumbnail for upload

Re-ordering Media Items within a Library

  1. Within the relevant library, select Edit ordering

  2. Drag and drop media items to arrange them in the desired order, then select Save ordering

Searching for Media Items within a Library

  1. Within the relevant library, use the search bar to search for items by filename, title, or ID

Reviewing Video Engagement

  1. For the relevant video, select the graph icon - engagement statistics display who viewed the video, when it was viewed, and whether it was watched to completion

  2. Within Video Views, engagement statistics can be downloaded by selecting Download CSV

Deleting a Media Item

  1. Within the relevant library, locate the appropriate media item

  2. Select the x icon to delete the Media Item

    • Upon confirmation, the media item is immediately and permanently removed

    • Once removed, the deleted media item is no longer visible within the mobile app

Deleting a Media Library

  1. Within the relevant library, select Delete to delete the Media Library

    • Upon confirmation, the Media Library and all media items within that library are immediately and permanently removed

    • Once removed, the Media Library is no longer visible within the mobile app
