Overview
Messages enable two-way communication with mobile app users. App Manager displays all free-form messages sent by app users, as well as outbound messages sent directly from App Manager or via the Messaging API.
NOTE: App Manager does not currently display outbound messages sent to mobile app users from external backend systems (such as a TMS).
Accessing Messages
Within App Manager, navigate to the Messaging tab to view and manage conversations in the active environment.
Search: Type a username into the search bar to dynamically filter the user list. Select a username to open the conversation history.
Conversation Display: Conversations are ordered chronologically by their most recent message, with the newest activity at the top. Any conversation containing unread messages is marked with a vertical orange bar.
Sending and Replying to Messages
App Manager's Messaging Console allows backend users to communicate directly with mobile app users from within the web platform.
NOTE: App Manager does not track individual sender identities. Messages are sent generically by default, or you can choose to send them on behalf of an optional Contact. For more information refer to our Contacts Guide.
