Navigation Bar & Permissions Update (1.64)

Prev Next

Overview

Starting October 13, 2026, App Manager and Document Hub will share a single navigation bar. Previously, each displayed its own navigation bar with different items, which required users to learn two separate layouts. The 1.64 release applies the same navigation bar throughout the system, renames several headers, and restructures the permissions behind them.

This release includes the following changes:

  • A single navigation bar that appears and behaves the same in App Manager and Document Hub

  • New headers for App Administration, App Components, and Messaging

  • The relocation of Document Hub out of the system dropdown and into its own header

  • The replacement of the Home tab with the Eleos logo, which now opens the Home page

  • A restructured permission set that aligns with the new headers

NOTE: Existing permissions are migrated automatically. No action is required, and no user loses permissions as part of this change.

How It Works

Unified Navigation Bar

The navigation bar displays the same headers regardless of whether a user is working in App Manager or Document Hub. The headers a user sees depend on the permissions assigned to that user, not on the area of the system in use.

NOTE: Users whose only permissions are Document Hub and User Administration see the Document Hub and Account Menu headers. Navigating to an App Manager page with a bookmark without the required permission displays the standard permission error.

Each header in the navigation bar corresponds to a permission. A header only appears if the user has that permission.

None

My Profile, User Administration, Help, Privacy Policy, and Logout

NOTE: User Administration requires the User Administration permission.

None / Division Administration

All users will see the current Environment Name.

Users with the Division Administration permission will be able to switch between environments.

IMPORTANT: A header that a user expects but does not see indicates a missing permission. Navigate to Account Menu > User Administration to review and adjust the permissions assigned to that user.

The Home tab is removed from the navigation bar. The Eleos logo now serves as the path to the Home page, which displays Eleos Platform Metrics.

To open the Home page:

  1. Select the Eleos logo in the upper left corner of the navigation bar

  2. Review the reports on the Home page

NOTE: The Eleos logo is not selectable for users who do not have access to any App Manager pages.

The reports themselves are unchanged. Only the path to reach them is different.

Messaging

Messages have moved out of App Content and into a Messaging header with a dedicated permission. This change:

  • Grants the Messaging permission automatically to every user who held the App Content permission before this change

  • Allows App Content and Messaging to be assigned independently going forward

  • Leaves the sending and replying experience unchanged

IMPORTANT: Review which users require messaging access after this release. Users who previously held the App Content permission will receive both App Content and Messaging, but these two permissions can now be separated if needed.
