Overview
Menus enable users to navigate between features in the mobile app. Each user has a single menu associated with them at a time.
How Menus Work
A default menu is created within App Manager automatically. The code for this default menu is DEFAULT-MENU. If you need different menus for different groups and users, you may create these individual menus within App Manager and then assign the appropriate menus through your User Authentication integration.
IMPORTANT: Menus are assigned to users through your User Authentication integration, and not through App Manager.
Below is an example of how the mobile app menu appears on phones and tablets:

NOTE: On cell phones, menus can be opened in a collapsed menu icon (☰). On tablets, the first few menu items are displayed in a banner at the bottom of the screen, the rest can be viewed by tapping the more button to the very right of the banner, as seen above.

IMPORTANT: The following deprecated fields are no longer supported and should not be used: Legacy Web Browser, Video Library.

Creating a Menu
The Menus page shows all menus created in the active environment.
Navigate to App Components > Menus within App Manager
Select + Add a menu
Replace the auto-generated
CodeandTitlewith App Manager, then select SaveThe code and title are not visible to users within the app
NOTE: The code cannot contain spaces and cannot be changed after saving.
Add items by selecting the + Add a menu item button
App Manager auto-generates Home and Settings items by default
Select an item Type — see Menu Item Types above for the full list
Select Save
Managing Items in an Existing Menu
Adding an Item
Select the + Add a menu item button within the relevant menu
Select an item Type — see Menu Item Types for the full list
Select Save
Reordering Items
Reorder items within the relevant menu using either method:
Drag and drop — select and drag items into position
Move buttons — select an item, then use Move up or Move down
Select Save to apply changes, or Discard Changes to abandon modifications
Deleting an Item
Select the item to remove within the relevant menu
Select Delete in the bottom right
Deleted items cannot be recovered after saving
Select Save
NOTE: Saved changes appear immediately upon user refresh in the mobile app.
Copying a Menu
You can duplicate a menu into another environment.
Open the menu you want to duplicate
Select the Copy button, located just below the Save button
In the modal that appears, use the dropdown to select the destination environment, then confirm
Archiving a Menu
Select the Archive button in the top right within the relevant menu.
Menus can be unarchived later if needed
NOTE: Archived menus are still visible to mobile app users
